Quick Mongolian Chicken
Ingredients
  • 1 pound chicken breast tenderloins, cut into thin strips
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon ginger puree
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 4 green onions, chopped
Instructions
1
Combine chicken strips and cornstarch in a large, airtight container. Thoroughly mix until the chicken is evenly coated.
2
Heat a substantial amount of vegetable oil in a large, deep skillet over an elevated heat setting. Add the chicken and cook until it develops a golden brown exterior and its juices flow freely, approximately 5 minutes on each side. Transfer the chicken to a paper towel-lined plate for further processing.
3
Combine minced garlic, ginger paste, Sriracha sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce in a bowl. Mix until the ingredients are well-blended. Introduce this mixture into the skillet and bring it to a rolling boil. Decrease the heat and simmer until the sauce has thickened, roughly 3 minutes.
4
Return the chicken to the skillet. Add chopped green onions and mix until they are evenly coated with the sauce. Cook over an elevated heat setting until heated through, approximately 2 minutes. Serve immediately.
