Quick Beef Chili
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans kidney beans
  • 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Heat a generous amount of oil in a medium-sized cooking vessel with a capacity of 2 quarts over moderately high heat. Introduce the ground beef into the saucepan and cook, constantly stirring, until it reaches a dark brown color and has broken down into small crumbs, taking approximately 7 to 10 minutes.
2
Next, add the chopped onion and minced garlic into the saucepan and continue to cook until the onion becomes transparent, roughly after 5 minutes. Remove any excess oil from the surface of the mixture.
3
Now, incorporate the beans, crushed tomatoes, chili powder, vinegar, salt, and pepper into the saucepan. Stir everything together until it reaches a boiling point.
4
Subsequently, decrease the heat to a lower level, place a lid on top of the saucepan and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
