  • 4 cups chicken broth, divided
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 (8 ounce) can carrots, drained
  • 1/4 cup dried onion flakes
  • 1 dash hot pepper sauce
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cups diced cooked chicken
  • 1 (8 ounce) can white potatoes
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, cut into four squares

Preheat the oven to a high temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).

Use a non-stick cooking spray to coat four small, oven-safe bowls.

Melt butter in a large saucepan over a medium heat setting.

Add two cups of chicken broth to the melted butter and whisk in one cup of flour, gradually adding the remaining two cups of chicken broth until a smooth mixture forms.

Mix in some chopped carrots, onion powder, hot pepper sauce, black pepper, thyme, and bay leaves.
