Ingredients
- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 2 (3 ounce) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O®
- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen strawberries
Instructions
1
Collect all necessary ingredients and preheat the oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 400 degrees Fahrenheit or 200 degrees Celsius.
2
Combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and three tablespoons of sugar in a bowl until they form a cohesive mixture; thoroughly mix the ingredients together and press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish.
3
Bake in the preheated oven until it reaches its desired consistency, taking approximately 8 to 10 minutes; remove from the oven and allow it to cool down.
4
In a large bowl, combine softened cream cheese and one cup of sugar; use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients until they are smooth and even; fold in whipped topping until well-combined.
5
Spread this mixture onto the cooled crust.
6
To make a gelatin dessert, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in boiling water. Add still-frozen strawberries to the mixture and allow it to set for a short period of time; pour this gelatin mixture over the cream cheese layer.
7
Place the dessert in the refrigerator to set, allowing it to remain there for at least two hours; serve and enjoy!
