- 2 leeks, chopped
- 2 teaspoons margarine
- 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream

Heat a medium-sized pot over an average heat setting, then add the potatoes and broth to it. Allow the mixture to gently warm up for 20 minutes, or until the potatoes have become soft and palatable.

Meanwhile, heat a separate skillet over an average heat setting as well. Then, sauté the leeks in the butter or margarine within it for 5 to 10 minutes, or until they have reached a tender state. Next, add the cooked leeks and the cream to the potatoes in the pot, stirring everything together thoroughly.
