Ingredients
- 2 boneless pork chops
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 5 tablespoons bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, or as needed
Instructions
1
Lay out the pork chops on a stable, flat surface, supported by two thick sheets of heavy plastic. Use a meat mallet to gently but firmly pound the chops, rotating them occasionally, until they reach an extremely thin state. Sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the chops to add flavor.
2
Prepare three shallow dishes in advance: one for flour, another for a whisked egg, and the third for breadcrumbs.
3
Dust the pork chops with flour, coating them evenly. Dip the floured chops into the whisked egg, making sure they are fully saturated. Then, coat both sides of the chops with breadcrumbs, ensuring an even layer.
4
Heat a substantial amount of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Carefully place the breaded chops into the hot oil, cooking them until they turn golden brown on both sides, approximately 5 minutes per side.
