Plum Dipping Sauce
Ingredients
  • 5 cups coarsely chopped mixed fruit (apples, plums, and pears)
  • 1 cup water
  • 3/4 cup apple juice
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon apricot preserves
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions
1
Acquire the necessary ingredients for this recipe.
2
Place plums in a large cooking vessel over medium-high heat. Introduce 1 cup of water, apple juice, brown sugar, apricot preserves, soy sauce, garlic powder, and dry mustard into the pot. Stir until these ingredients are well combined.
3
Heat the mixture to a gentle boil, constantly stirring to ensure that the brown sugar dissolves. Gradually decrease the heat and continue cooking until the fruit is utterly tender, taking approximately 40 minutes to achieve this. Remove the pot from the heat source and allow it to cool for a period of 30 minutes.
4
Transfer the cooled mixture to a food processor or blender. Process until the entire mixture is smooth and even, adjusting the consistency as needed by adding additional water if required.
5
Cover and refrigerate the mixture until it is ready to be used.
