  • 1/2 cup vinegar

First, carefully pour out any excess liquid from the beets into a saucepan. Next, combine the beets, onions, and eggs in a large bowl or container.

Now, add sugar and vinegar to the saucepan with the beet liquid; heat the mixture until it reaches a rolling boil. After that, decrease the heat to a low setting and let the mixture gently simmer for 15 minutes.

Once you've allowed the mixture to simmer, pour it over the beets, eggs, and onions. Cover the bowl or container with a lid and refrigerate for at least 1 to 3 days; the longer it rests, the more flavorful they will be.
