Pepperoni Cheese Stromboli
Ingredients
  • 2 (1 pound) loaves frozen bread dough, thawed
  • 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 ounces sliced pepperoni sausage
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2
Knead the dough to release any air bubbles, then press down firmly on it.
3
On a surface dusted with flour, stretch and flatten each loaf into a large rectangle measuring 20x8 inches. Place one of these rectangles on a greased baking sheet.
4
Spread a layer of spaghetti sauce along the center of one rectangle, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle with oregano, pepperoni slices, and shredded mozzarella cheese.
5
Fold the long sides of the dough up towards the filling, then set it aside for a moment. Cut the remaining rectangle into three long strips.
6
Twist these strips together in a loose braid, and pinch the ends to seal them. Place this bread on top of the cheese layer.
7
Place the braid-topped bread on top of the filling, and pinch it firmly to seal the dough. Sprinkle with additional Parmesan cheese.
8
Bake the bread in your preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until it reaches a golden brown color.
