Ingredients
- 4 cups peeled, cored and chopped pears
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 4 egg whites
- 2/3 cup canola oil
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
1
Collect all the necessary components.
2
Combine pears with sugar in a large bowl; allow it to marinate for one hour.
3
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (165 degrees Celsius). Spray a 10-inch Bundt mold with non-stick cooking spray.
4
Gently whisk egg whites; blend with oil, chopped pecans, and the pear mixture.
5
Mix flour, salt, baking soda, nutmeg, cinnamon, and cloves together; incorporate into the pear mixture. Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt mold.
6
Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, approximately 1 hour and 10 minutes. Allow it to rest on a wire rack for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
7
Carefully flip onto a serving plate or rack and let it come to room temperature completely.
