Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons white sugar
- 1 cup blanched almond flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 4 ounces milk chocolate, chopped
- 3 pears - peeled, cored and sliced
Instructions
1
Prepare the tart pan by lining it with parchment paper, making sure to cover the entire surface.
2
Next, preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C), which is a crucial step in the baking process.
3
Combine 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons of sugar with butter in a large bowl, using an electric mixer to beat the mixture until it reaches a smooth and creamy consistency.
4
Subsequently, incorporate almond flour into the mixture, ensuring that it is well combined.
5
In a separate bowl, beat eggs one at a time until they are fully incorporated into the mixture.
6
Combine the egg mixture with the butter and sugar mixture, stirring until all ingredients are well combined.
7
Roll out puff pastry to fit the tart pan and prick it with a fork all over, creating small holes for steam to escape.
8
Place the puff pastry in the tart pan and cover it with melted chocolate, making sure to spread it evenly.
9
Place a double boiler over simmering water and add chocolate on top, stirring frequently to avoid scorching.
10
Continue heating the chocolate until it is fully melted, approximately 5 minutes.
11
Remove the chocolate from the heat and let it cool slightly before covering it with melted chocolate.
12
Cover the puff pastry with the cooled, melted chocolate.
13
Carefully pour the egg mixture over the top of the tart, making sure not to mix it with the chocolate and pastry layers.
14
Arrange sliced pears on top of the tart, creating a visually appealing presentation.
15
Place the tart in the preheated oven and bake until the pastry has puffed up and turned golden brown, approximately 25 to 30 minutes.
