Combine eggs, Parmesan cheese, milk, and black pepper in a shallow bowl and whisk until the mixture is smooth and airy, approximately 1 minute.

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium heat until it is melted and starts to simmer.

Dip both sides of each slice of bread into the egg mixture, making sure they are fully coated, then carefully place them in the hot butter in the skillet. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and crispy.
