Parmesan Garlic Roasted Carrots
Ingredients
  • 1 pound carrots, peeled
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, or more to taste

Preheat the oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius. Cover a baking sheet with a layer of aluminum foil to make cleanup easier.

In a small bowl, combine the contents of an olive oil bottle and garlic salt in equal amounts. Pour this mixture into a large, resealable container made of plastic. Add the carrots to the container and seal it tightly. Shake the bag vigorously to ensure all of the carrots are evenly coated with the oil mixture.

Place the coated carrots onto a prepared baking sheet, making sure they are not overlapping.

Take the carrots out of the oven and roast them for approximately 45 minutes, or until they are tender but still crisp.

Once the carrots have finished roasting, sprinkle a generous amount of Parmesan cheese over them. Return the carrots to the oven and continue roasting until the cheese is lightly browned, taking anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes.

Finally, sprinkle a few extra pieces of Parmesan cheese over the top of the carrots and serve according to your personal preference.
