Parmesan-Crusted Sicilian Steak
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 (16 ounce) T-bone steaks
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to the desired temperature, 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), by turning the dial or pressing a button on your oven's control panel. Next, lightly coat a broiler pan with a thin layer of oil or cooking spray to prevent the steak from sticking.
2
In one shallow dish, combine bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, and garlic powder. Mix these ingredients together until they are evenly blended. In a separate shallow dish, pour olive oil to the desired level.
3
Dip each T-bone steak into the olive oil on both sides, allowing any excess to drip off before handling. Then, coat each steak with the bread crumb mixture, pressing it gently onto the meat to ensure an even coating. Place the coated steaks on the prepared broiler pan.
4
Bake the steaks in the preheated oven, positioned on the middle rack, until they have reached your preferred level of doneness. For medium-cooked steaks, this should take approximately 15 minutes. To check for doneness, insert an instant-read thermometer into the center of each steak and wait for it to reach 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).
