SERVINGS

Ingredients
- 3 large peaches, peeled and pitted
- 2 (8 ounce) cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 cup butter
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 (12 fluid ounce) can or bottle caffeinated citrus-flavored soda (such as Mountain Dew®)
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
Instructions
1
Firstly, preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. Next, cut peaches into a total of 16 identical crescent-shaped pieces.
2
Subsequently, unroll the crescent roll dough on a flat surface and divide it into 16 separate triangles. Place one peach slice at the base of each triangle, then roll up to enclose it within the dough. Arrange these rolled turnovers in a single layer on a baking pan.
3
After that, melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Combine sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in the saucepan and whisk until well mixed. Pour this mixture evenly over the turnovers.
4
Following that, pour a small amount of soda over the turnovers. Finally, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon over the top of each turnover.
5
Lastly, bake the turnovers in the preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes, or until they are golden brown and the liquid is bubbling.
