Overnight Lasagna
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 (30 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 (16 ounce) package cottage cheese
  • 12 ounces grated mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Heat a large saucepan over medium-high heat, cooking the ground beef until it's no longer pink and has a brown color, taking approximately 5 minutes. Discard the excess fat that accumulates during this process.
2
Introduce the marinara sauce, water, and salt into the saucepan, stirring until well combined. Bring the mixture to a rolling boil before removing it from the heat source.
3
Arrange 6 portions of noodles in a rectangular baking dish measuring 9x13 inches, potentially breaking them apart to fit snugly. Pour half of the sauce over the noodles, followed by half of the cottage cheese and half of the mozzarella cheese. Repeat this layering process with the remaining noodles, sauce, cottage cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Finish by sprinkling Parmesan cheese on top. Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and refrigerate it overnight.
4
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
5
Bake the lasagna, covered with foil, until the noodles are tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly, taking about 1 hour.
6
Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
