- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, cloves peeled and crushed

Heat your oven to its highest temperature setting, which is 425 degrees Fahrenheit or 220 degrees Celsius.

Arrange artichokes with their stems facing downwards in a container and anoint them with lemon juice.

Gently pry apart the artichoke leaves using your fingers. Make a small opening in each artichoke by inserting the tip of a knife into its center, creating a space roughly the size of a clove of garlic.

Anoint each artichoke with olive oil and insert a single clove of garlic into the newly created opening; sprinkle with salt.

Twice wrap each artichoke in heavy-duty aluminum foil, making sure it is securely sealed; place them in a baking dish.
