- 2 tablespoons white sugar, divided
- 2 Bosc pears, halved and cored
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius, if you prefer).

Next, take a 9-inch baking dish and apply a thin layer of butter to prevent it from sticking.

Subsequently, add 1 tablespoon of sugar into the buttered dish for a delightful flavor combination.

Now, take the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter and rub it gently over each pear half; arrange these pears cut-side down in the prepared baking dish.

Following that, sprinkle a further 1 tablespoon of sugar over the pears to enhance their flavor.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 10 minutes to allow the pears to soften slightly.

After this initial baking time, pour a generous amount of cream over the pears and continue to bake until they are tender and fully cooked, approximately 20 minutes more.
