Oven-Baked Steak Tips
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons brown mustard
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3 whole cloves
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 pounds sirloin steak tips
  • 1 cup beef broth, or as needed
Instructions
1
Combine soy sauce, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, mustard, maple syrup, molasses, sesame oil, cinnamon, and cloves in a large glass or ceramic container. Whisk until smooth. Add steak tips to the mixture and blend well, ensuring they are evenly coated. Cover the container with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 6 to 24 hours.
2
Heat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Remove the steak tips from their marinade and gently shake off any excess. Discard the remaining marinade, then place the steak tips in a baking dish. Fill the bottom of the dish with beef broth.
3
Bake the steak tips in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, flipping them halfway through. Check on the steak tips periodically until they are hot and slightly pink in the center, beginning to firm up. Use an instant-read thermometer to verify that the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium doneness.
