Oven-Baked Bacon Beans
Ingredients
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar, or more to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (or 175 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric measurements).
2
In a large cooking vessel, cook the bacon over a high heat setting until it is nicely browned on all sides. This process should take around 10 minutes, and you'll need to stir the bacon occasionally to ensure even cooking. Once done, remove the cooked bacon from heat and place it on a stack of paper towels to drain excess grease.
3
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, canned beans, chopped onion, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Transfer this mixture to a 2-quart baking container. Chop the cooked bacon into smaller pieces and add it to the pork mixture, stirring until everything is well combined. Cover the dish with aluminum foil.
4
Place the casserole in your preheated oven and let it cook for 90 minutes.
