- 2 (8 ounce) packages semisweet baking chocolate
- 16 ounces cream-filled chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo®), divided
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Collect and prepare all necessary components for the recipe.

Heat a saucepan over low heat, stirring periodically, until the chocolate has reached a smooth and melted state, approximately 4 to 6 minutes.

During this time, process 9 cream-filled sandwich cookies in a food processor until they are finely pulverized. Transfer the crushed cookies to a separate container and set aside for later use in decorating.

Add the remaining cookies to the food processor and continue processing until they are finely pulverized. Transfer the crushed cookies to a larger bowl and combine with cream cheese, stirring until everything is well incorporated.

Using your hands or a spoon, shape the mixture into 42 small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter.

Carefully place each ball into the melted chocolate and use two forks to coat it evenly, ensuring that the entire surface is covered.

Using both forks, gently lift the ball and allow any excess chocolate to drip off before placing it on a prepared baking sheet lined with wax paper.

Sprinkle the reserved cookie crumbs over the truffle to decorate, and repeat this process until all the ingredients have been used up.

Place the prepared truffles in the refrigerator to firm up, allowing at least 1 hour to pass before serving. Store them in the refrigerator until just before consumption, when you can enjoy your delicious creations!
