One-Skillet Beef Burrito
Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 (15 ounce) can black beans, partially drained
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 (1 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 4 (8 inch) flour tortillas, cut into strips
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream, or to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat a substantial skillet over medium-high heat to initiate cooking. Sear and blend ground beef in the hot skillet until it reaches a browned, crumbly state, taking approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Transfer ground beef to a paper towel-lined plate and discard excess grease from the skillet.
2
Reintroduce ground beef to the skillet, followed by the addition of black beans, a tangy salsa, water, and a blend of spices commonly referred to as taco seasoning. Combine ingredients thoroughly and bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Gradually decrease heat levels slightly and introduce Cheddar cheese and tortilla strips into the skillet. Cover the skillet and allow the ingredients to simmer together until the cheese is fully incorporated, approximately 5 minutes. Finish with a dollop of sour cream.
