Olive-Brined Air Fryer Turkey
Ingredients
  • 3/4 cup brine from a can of olives
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless turkey breast
  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme
Instructions
1
Combine olive brine and buttermilk in a bowl, whisking until well incorporated. Place the turkey breast inside a resealable plastic bag and pour the brine-buttermilk mixture into the bag, making sure to coat the breast evenly. Add a few sprigs of fresh rosemary and thyme for added flavor, then seal the bag tightly. Refrigerate for 8 hours to allow the meat to tenderize.
2
After the marinating process, remove the bag from the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about an hour to allow the breast to come to a comfortable temperature.
3
Next, preheat your air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius), the ideal temperature for cooking poultry. Place the turkey breast inside the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes, flipping it over halfway through. Continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes, or until the breast reaches a safe internal temperature of at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit (74 degrees Celsius). To ensure the breast is fully cooked, use an instant-read thermometer to check its internal temperature. If it's lower than the recommended 165 degrees Fahrenheit, continue cooking in 5-minute increments until it reaches the desired temperature.
