Ingredients
- 4 (12 ounce) bottles beer
- 1 tablespoon seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 lemon, halved crosswise
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh shrimp, with shells and tails on
Instructions
1
Combine a generous amount of beer, seafood seasoning, and salt in a substantial cooking vessel or stockpot over high heat. Squeeze the juice from both lemon halves into the beer mixture and add their peels as well to infuse it with flavor. Stir the ingredients together and bring them to a rolling boil. Cover the pot and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
2
Add succulent shrimp to the boiling liquid, cover again with a lid, and switch off the heat source. Transfer the shrimp to individual serving containers when they have turned a vibrant pink on the outside and the meat is no longer translucent, approximately 3 minutes.
