Ingredients
- 2 cups dry stuffing mix
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 pounds flank steak, pounded thin for easy rolling
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can mushroom gravy
- 1/4 cup red wine
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a medium-high temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
Mix together the stuffing ingredients, water, and melted butter in a bowl of moderate size; thoroughly combine all components and allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes. Spread the prepared stuffing evenly across the steak, leaving a small border around its edges; sprinkle chopped green onions and sliced red bell pepper on top.
3
Roll the steak from one of its longer edges, securing it with wooden skewers to maintain its shape; position the steak in a 9x13-inch baking dish with its seam side facing downwards.
4
Mix together the gravy, wine, minced garlic, and shredded cheese in a small bowl; blend all ingredients well and pour the sauce over the steak.
5
Place the prepared steak in the preheated oven and roast until it reaches an internal temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit (71 degrees Celsius) for a medium-cooked steak, approximately 1 hour. Allow the stuffed steak to stand undisturbed for 5 minutes before slicing and serving with the remaining sauce from the baking dish.
