Muhalbiyah: Arabian Rose Water Pudding
Ingredients
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup rose water
  • 1/2 cup dry milk powder
  • 1/2 cup white sugar
  • 5 tablespoons cornstarch

Combine water, rose water, milk powder, sugar, and cornstarch in a saucepan until you have a uniform mixture.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir constantly with a wooden spoon until the mixture starts to bubble; continue cooking at this temperature for 2 minutes.

Remove the saucepan from the heat source immediately; gently stir the mixture a few times to facilitate its cooling down.

Divide the cooled mixture among 8 small serving glasses; refrigerate until it has solidified, approximately 2 hours.
