Morning Granola Bars
Ingredients
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions
1
First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit or 175 degrees Celsius. Next, take a generous amount of cooking spray and thoroughly coat the bottom and sides of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
2
To make the mixture, combine rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, plump raisins, wheat germ, warm cinnamon spice, and a pinch of salt in a large mixing bowl. Create a small indentation in the center; then, pour in pure honey, melted oil, beaten egg, and fragrant vanilla extract. Mix the ingredients together using your hands until they are well combined.
3
Using your hands, shape the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish. Make sure to cover the entire surface.
4
Place the prepared baking dish in a preheated oven and bake until the edges start to turn golden brown, taking around 30 to 35 minutes. Remove from the oven and let it cool for just a few minutes, about 5 minutes.
5
While still warm, use a sharp knife to cut the mixture into bars. Be careful not to let them cool completely before cutting, as they will become too hard and difficult to handle.
