  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 (28 ounce) cans baked beans
  • 3 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 tablespoons prepared mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup chopped cooked ham

Preheat your oven to a high temperature of three hundred fifty degrees Fahrenheit, or one seventy-five degrees Celsius.

In a substantial, deep skillet, cook the bacon and onions over a medium-high heat source until they are uniformly browned. Remove from heat, drain the excess liquid, and set the mixture aside.

In a large container, blend together the beans, molasses, mustard, salt, tomatoes, brown sugar, dry mustard, ham, onions, and the previously cooked bacon until well combined. Transfer this mixture to a two quart casserole dish.

Bake the prepared casserole in your preheated oven, with a lid on top, for one hour. After this initial period, remove the lid and continue baking for an additional sixty minutes.
