  • 1 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh cranberries
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 pound mixed salad greens
  • 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 ounces crumbled blue cheese

Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit or 190 degrees Celsius.

Take a single layer of almonds and place them in a row on a baking sheet. Subject the nuts to heat in the preheated oven until they start to develop a golden brown color, approximately 5 minutes.
