- 1/2 cup red lentils
- 1/4 cup fine bulgur
- 1/4 cup rice
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 tablespoon dried mint
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt and ground black pepper to taste

Heat a generous amount of oil in a spacious cooking vessel over an intermediate temperature. Introduce the onion and cook until it starts to lose its rigidity, approximately 2 minutes. Add garlic to the mixture and continue cooking for another 2 minutes. Incorporate diced tomatoes into the pot and let them cook for a considerable amount of time, around 10 minutes.

Add chicken stock, lentils, bulgur, rice, tomato paste, mint, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to the pot. Stir everything together until it reaches a boiling point. Lower the heat to a lower medium and let the soup simmer for an extended period, roughly 30 minutes, until the lentils and rice become tender.
