- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves

Combine water, sugar, and fresh mint leaves in a small saucepan. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar has fully incorporated and dissolves. Allow the mixture to simmer for 1 minute, then take it off the heat and let it infuse for approximately 30 minutes.

Carefully pour the syrup into a sterilized glass jar through a fine-mesh strainer to remove the mint leaves, and let it cool down.
