Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package Jimmy DeanĀ® Premium Pork Regular Sausage
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 4 ounces garden vegetable cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red bell pepper
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onion
- 2 (8 ounce) packages crescent roll sheets
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit, which is equivalent to 190 degrees Celsius.
2
Next, heat a frying pan over medium-high heat and add the sausage to it. Use a spatula to constantly stir and break apart the sausage until it is fully cooked, taking around 5 to 7 minutes. Remove the cooked sausage from the pan with a slotted spoon and let it cool down.
3
In a separate bowl, combine the regular cream cheese, vegetable cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, diced bell pepper, chopped green onion, and the cooled sausage. Mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined and set aside.
4
Then, unroll one package of crescent dough and press it into a rectangular shape that measures 9 inches by 12 inches. Cut the dough into 24 equal squares, and repeat this process with the second package of dough.
5
After that, place one square in each cup of two 24-cup mini muffin tins. Press the dough into the bottom and up the sides of each cup.
6
Now, fill each muffin tin with 1 heaping teaspoon of the sausage filling. The filling should be at the top of each cup, but you don't need to press it down.
7
Finally, bake the mini muffins in the preheated oven for 11 to 13 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown. Remove them from the oven and let them cool for 5 minutes in the tins before transferring them to a platter.
