Ingredients
- 1 cup ground beef
- 1 (1.25 ounce) package dry taco seasoning mix
- 1 (14 ounce) package prepared pizza dough, or as needed
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 1/4 cups shredded mild Cheddar cheese
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to a high temperature of 450 degrees Fahrenheit, or 230 degrees Celsius.
2
Heat a large cooking vessel over high heat. Add ground beef and taco seasoning; cook and stir constantly until the beef is browned and crumbly, taking around 5 to 7 minutes. Remove excess fat from the mixture.
3
Divide pizza dough into two equal portions. Stretch and flatten each portion into a thin layer, then place it onto a nonstick baking tray.
4
Place the prepared crusts in the preheated oven for 3 minutes, allowing them to cook slightly.
5
Simultaneously, combine pizza sauce, cumin, and salt in a bowl to create the sauce mixture.
6
Remove the crusts from the oven and spread half of the sauce mixture evenly over each one. Sprinkle ground beef and Cheddar cheese uniformly over the top of each crust. Return the crusts to the oven and bake until the cheese is melted, the crusts are crispy, 10 to 12 minutes.
