  • 4 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 (24 ounce) carton cottage cheese
  • 1 (8 ounce) package shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar marinara sauce

Preheat your oven to the desired temperature of 350 degrees Fahrenheit, equivalent to 175 degrees Celsius.

To soften the matzo sheets, submerge them in a large container filled with hot water for approximately 30 seconds; then drain the excess moisture.

Mix together eggs, cottage cheese, and half of the mozzarella cheese in a separate bowl. Pour 1/2 cup of marinara sauce onto the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking pan. Place two matzo sheets on top of the sauce, followed by another layer of sauce over the matzo. Spread half of the cheese mixture on top, then add a layer of sauce. Continue this process until all the matzo sheets have been utilized, concluding with a final layer of sauce. Finish by sprinkling the remaining mozzarella cheese over the top.
