Marsala Pork Chops
Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound boneless pork loin chops, pounded thin
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup Marsala wine
Instructions
1
Combine the dry ingredients of flour, garlic powder, oregano, garlic salt, and salt in a medium-sized bowl.
2
Add the pork chops to this mixture and ensure they are evenly coated.
3
Heat a generous amount of olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
4
Cook the pork chops in this hot mixture, turning them occasionally until they develop a nice brown color on both sides.
5
Add sliced mushrooms and minced garlic to the skillet; cook and stir until the mushrooms begin to soften and release their fragrance, approximately 1 minute.
6
Carefully pour in a glass of wine, scraping the entire surface of the skillet to release any browned residue that may be stuck at the bottom.
7
Cover the skillet and continue cooking over medium heat until the pork is tender and the sauce has thickened, around 15 minutes.
8
Use a meat thermometer to check if the pork is cooked to a safe temperature of at least 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
9
If the sauce becomes too thick, you can adjust it by adding a small amount of wine at a time.
