Ingredients
- 1 pound broccoli rabe, trimmed
- 5 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
1
Begin by filling a substantial container with salted water and placing it on the stovetop to reach its boiling point.
2
Next, carefully make a shallow incision in the base of each broccoli rabe stem to facilitate even cooking. Once done, gently submerge the cut stems into the boiling water and allow them to cook for approximately 3-5 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of tenderness but still retain some firmness. Remove from the water and drain excess liquid.
3
In a large, heavy cooking vessel heated over medium heat, warm olive oil and cook minced garlic for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Then, add the cooked broccoli rabe to the skillet and continue cooking for 8-10 minutes, or until it reaches your preferred level of doneness. If desired, sprinkle with grated parmesan cheese to enhance the dish.
