- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup, or to taste

Preheat your oven to the optimal temperature of 375 degrees Fahrenheit (or 190 degrees Celsius, if you prefer metric).

Arrange the sliced sweet potatoes, carrots, and parsnips in a single layer on a baking sheet designed for roasting vegetables; lightly anoint with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and black pepper to taste.

Place the prepared vegetables in a preheated oven and roast until they are tender, but still retain some firmness, approximately 30 minutes.

Once the vegetables have reached this stage, sprinkle some fresh thyme sprigs over them and drizzle with a sweet, syrupy liquid made from maple syrup.

Return the vegetables to the oven and continue baking until they are fully tender, adding an additional 15 minutes to the cooking time.
