Maple Miso Salmon
Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons yellow miso paste
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon hot chili sauce (such as Sriracha®)
  • 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
  • 2 (6 ounce) center-cut salmon fillets, with skin
Instructions
1
Position the oven rack approximately 6 inches away from the heat source and set the oven to broil.
2
Combine miso paste, seasoned rice vinegar, maple syrup, and hot chili sauce in a bowl using a whisk.
3
Coat an oven-ready skillet with vegetable oil, making sure to cover the entire surface evenly.
4
Carefully place salmon fillets skin-side down in the cold skillet and cook over medium heat until the skin begins to sizzle, taking about 2-3 minutes.
5
Immediately remove the pan from heat and set it aside.
6
Apply a thin layer of miso glaze to each salmon fillet, making sure they are evenly coated.
7
Place the skillet under the preheated broiler and cook until the salmon is cooked through to your liking, with a nicely browned top, approximately 8 minutes.
8
Gently remove each fillet from the pan, separating the flesh from the skin; leave the skin in the pan.
