Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds baby carrots
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Begin by submerging the carrots into a pot filled with salted water, then bring the mixture to a rolling boil.
2
Then, decrease the heat to a lower medium setting and let the carrots simmer gently for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they reach your desired level of tenderness.
3
Next, carefully lift the carrots out of the pot with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a serving dish.
4
In a separate saucepan, heat the butter over a low-medium heat setting until it's fully melted.
5
Mix the maple syrup into the melted butter, stirring constantly to combine, and let it warm up for 1 to 2 minutes.
6
Pour the syrup-infused butter over the carrots, tossing them gently to coat evenly with the sauce.
7
Finally, sprinkle a pinch of salt and pepper over the carrots to add depth and flavor.
