Lowcountry Beaufort Stew with Shrimp and Sausage
Ingredients
  • 1 pound smoked sausage links, sliced
  • 10 frozen small corn cobs
  • 10 small red potatoes
  • 1 (3 ounce) package dry crab boil
  • 1 1/2 pounds unpeeled, large fresh shrimp
  • salt to taste
Instructions
1
Combine the sausage, corn, potatoes, and dry crab boil seasoning mix in a substantial container filled with sufficient water to completely submerge the ingredients.
2
Heat the mixture vigorously over high heat until it reaches a rolling boil.
3
Gradually decrease the heat to a low simmer and allow the ingredients to cook until the potatoes are tender, approximately 15 minutes.
4
Introduce the shrimp into the mixture and continue cooking until it has turned opaque, taking around 2 to 3 minutes.
5
Discard the excess water, add a pinch of salt, and present the dish hot.
