  • 3/4 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, or 175 degrees Celsius.

To prevent the cookie sheets from sticking, lightly coat them with a thin layer of oil or cooking spray.

Mix the applesauce, brown sugar, and white sugar in a bowl until smooth. Combine the sifted flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in another bowl; gently fold them into the applesauce mixture.

If you're using rolled oats, raisins, and chopped nuts, now is the time to add them to the mixture. Stir everything together until it's well combined.

Spoon out small balls of dough, about 2 inches apart from each other, onto the prepared baking sheets.

Place the baking sheets in the preheated oven and bake until the edges are golden brown, approximately 10 minutes.
