Low-Carb Chili
Ingredients
  • 2 1/2 pounds 80% lean ground beef
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (15 ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1/2 (4 ounce) can Tamed™ diced jalapeno peppers
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning mix
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat a large, deep pan over high heat on your stovetop. Sear and stir ground beef, a finely chopped onion, and minced garlic in the hot pan until the meat is nicely browned, crumbly, and the onion becomes transparent, taking anywhere from 5 to 7 minutes. Drain excess liquid using a colander.
2
Move the cooked meat mixture into a slow cooker. Mix in tomato sauce, canned diced tomatoes, crushed tomatoes, sliced jalapeño peppers, Worcestershire sauce, taco seasoning, ground cumin, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper until everything is well combined.
3
Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 8 hours; periodically add water if necessary to achieve your desired consistency.
