Lobster Pasta Delight
Ingredients
  • 1 large (2 pound) fresh lobster
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 (28 ounce) can diced tomatoes
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package dried spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
1
Begin by filling a large pot with water and placing it on the stovetop to reach its boiling point. Next, carefully add the lobster and cook for 6-8 minutes or until it turns a vibrant red color.
2
Immediately, melt 3 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium heat and add an onion along with 3 cloves of garlic. Gently stir the ingredients to release their natural juices, taking care not to allow them to brown.
3
Once the lobster is done cooking, transfer it to a cutting board and use a large knife to divide it in half lengthwise. Position the lobster halves, meat side down, into the skillet with the onion and garlic. Cook for approximately 3 minutes.
4
Subsequently, bring another pot of water to a boil and season it with a pinch of salt. Add spaghetti to the boiling water and cook for 8 minutes, or until it reaches a tender consistency. If you wish to expedite the process and avoid using an additional pot, you can cook pasta in the lobster water that is already boiling, simply adding a pinch of salt.
5
Add tomatoes to the skillet and increase the heat to high to bring the mixture to a boil. Add olive oil, salt, pepper, and cinnamon to the skillet, stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes. Gradually pour in cream while continuously stirring to achieve a lovely pink hue. Reduce the heat to medium-low and maintain the sauce warm, occasionally stirring until the pasta is done.
6
Drain the spaghetti and place it on a large serving plate. Stir in any remaining butter and garlic, then pour the tomato sauce over the spaghetti. Arrange the two lobster halves in the center of the plate and sprinkle with parsley to complete the dish.
