Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 small garlic clove, crushed
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 6 (6 ounce) lobster tails, thawed
- 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
- 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
- 3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
1
Preheat a large cooking vessel over medium heat by pouring olive oil into it.
2
Combine the onion and garlic in the hot oil, stirring constantly, until they develop a golden color, approximately 8 minutes pass.
3
Add the parsley and lobster tails to the onion mixture, stirring frequently, until the shells transform into a vibrant red hue, taking around 10 to 15 minutes.
4
Mix crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, salt, and black pepper with the lobster tails in a separate bowl; then gently combine them into the saucepan, allowing it to simmer over low heat for 1 hour, stirring periodically.
5
Carefully remove the lobster tails from the sauce and gently shake off any excess sauce that clings to their shells. If desired, you can also remove the lobster meat from its shells and stir it into the sauce or serve the individual pieces of lobster separately.
