Loaded Twice-Baked Potatoes
Ingredients
  • 4 large baking potatoes
  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 8 green onions, sliced, divided
Instructions
1
Acquire all necessary components and heat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius).
2
Place the selected items in the oven and bake until they reach a tender state, approximately one hour, depending on the size of your potatoes. Remove them from the oven once they have cooled enough to be handled comfortably.
3
In a large, deep pan, cook the bacon over medium-high heat until it is uniformly browned. Drain the excess liquid and crumble the cooked bacon into smaller pieces; set it aside for later use.
4
Cut your potatoes in half lengthwise and extract the soft flesh into a large bowl; reserve the potato skins.
5
Add sour cream, milk, butter, salt, pepper, 1/2 cup of the cheese, and half of the remaining green onions to the potato; mix thoroughly using a hand mixer until you achieve a smooth and creamy consistency.
6
Spoon this mixture into the potato skins; top each with the remaining cheese, green onions, and cooked bacon.
7
Return the potatoes to the preheated oven and continue baking until the cheese is melted, approximately 15 minutes. Serve your dish hot!
