  • 6 black tea bags
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 4 limes, juiced

Submerge a large glass container, such as a one-gallon jug, into a pot of boiling water to create a steaming environment. Add tea bags to the container and let them infuse in the water for approximately 45 minutes.

Next, carefully lift the container out of the pot and discard the used tea bags. Combine sugar and freshly squeezed lime juice in the container, stirring until the sugar has fully incorporated into the liquid. Allow the mixture to cool down to a comfortable temperature before refrigerating it until chilled, at which point it can be served.
