Ingredients
- 1 3/4 pounds lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoons lemon grass, minced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
- 2 tablespoons minced shallots
- 2 red chili peppers, seeded and minced
- 1/4 cup chopped peanuts
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 limes

Heat the grill to its highest temperature setting.

In a spacious container, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, lemon grass, shallots, chili peppers, and peanuts. Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. Shape into patty forms. If preparing in advance, omit peanuts until just before grilling.

Brush the grill grate with a small amount of oil and carefully place burgers on the grill. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes per side, or until done to your liking. Remove from the grill and squeeze a splash of lime juice over each burger.
