Ingredients
- elbow macaroni
- 1 tablespoon light olive oil
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 1 pinch dried basil
- 1 pinch dried oregano
- 1 pinch dried cilantro
- 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons light olive oil
- 2 tilapia fillets
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/8 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 pinch dried basil
- 1 pinch dried cilantro
- 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper
Instructions
1
Begin cooking the pasta by filling a saucepan with salted water and placing it on medium heat. Once the water is boiling, add macaroni and bring back to a boil. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until the pasta reaches the desired texture - still slightly firm in the center but not hard. This should take around 8 minutes.
2
Meanwhile, prepare the fish by heating olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sprinkle tilapia fillets evenly with lemon juice, oregano, basil, cilantro, salt, and pepper on both sides. Place the fillets in the skillet without overlapping them to ensure even cooking. Cook for 2-4 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and opaque, with a flaky texture.
3
Once the pasta is cooked, drain it from the saucepan and return it to the pot. Add a drizzle of olive oil and mix well to coat the pasta evenly. Then, combine Parmesan cheese with lemon juice, garlic powder, basil, oregano, cilantro, salt, and pepper to create a flavorful sauce.
4
Divide the cooked pasta between two plates and top each with a tilapia fillet, finishing off your delicious dish.
