Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds top round, London Broil cut
- 1 tablespoon meat tenderizer
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons seasoning salt
- 1/4 teaspoon lemon pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
- 2 teaspoons tarragon vinegar
Instructions
1
Make shallow cuts in the meat using a sharp knife, creating a 1 and 1/2 inch square pattern on both the top and bottom surfaces. Similarly, make shallow cuts along one side of the meat.
2
Next, generously apply a meat tenderizer to the surface of the meat. Using a fork, create small holes in the meat, about 1/8 inch apart and halfway through the thickness of the meat on both sides. Lightly sprinkle water over these holes, then rub the tenderizer into the meat.
3
Place the prepared meat on a plate and cover it with plastic wrap. Allow it to rest for about an hour.
4
In a small bowl, combine oil, lemon juice, seasoned salt, lemon pepper, garlic, parsley, and tarragon vinegar. Pour the marinade over the meat, reserving a portion of it for later use.
5
Cover the dish and refrigerate the meat for three hours, turning it every half hour to ensure even marination.
6
Heat up your grill to a high temperature.
7
Lightly brush the grill grates with oil and position it 2 inches above the heat source. Place the meat on the grill, and cook for about 5 minutes on each side.
8
Turn the meat over and brush it with some of the reserved marinade. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes, or until the meat is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
