Fill a large pot with approximately three-quarters of its capacity with water and place it on high heat, waiting for the water to reach a rolling boil.

Once boiling, carefully add sugar and lemon juice into the pot, stirring continuously until the sugar has completely dissolved.

Next, carefully add the ears of corn to the boiling water, making sure not to splash any water. Cover the pot with a lid and immediately switch off the heat source, allowing the corn to cook in its own steam for about 10 minutes or until it reaches a tender state.
